Switching to Amber

Keep the numbers your customers already know.

Changing phone provider should be planned, not improvised. We check your numbers, build the replacement system and agree the move before the old service is changed.

The process

Four steps, with a check before each commitment.

  1. 1 / Check

List the numbers and the current provider

We use this to check porting and flag anything unusual. Do not cancel the existing service; that can put the numbers at risk.

  2. 2 / Design

    Agree where calls should go

We map users, opening hours, queues and fallback routes, then put the costs in writing.

  3. 3 / Prepare

    Configure the system first

Apps, extensions and desk phones are prepared before the number move. Your staff can learn the basics ahead of time.

  4. 4 / Move

    Port on the agreed date

We coordinate the transfer and check inbound and outbound calls after the number moves.

Bring to the first conversation

  • Your current supplier
  • The numbers you want to keep
  • Your contract end date
  • A recent bill, if one is handy
  • The number of users and sites

One thing not to do

Do not cancel the old phone service before the numbers have moved. Speak to us first and we will explain when notice should be given.
